Ultava Houses is located in Eski Datça, the only neighborhood of the Datça peninsula that has been inhabited since ancient times, which is the most beautiful region of Muğla province. With the aim of preserving the history of the land on which it is located, it was restored by blending the existing modern architecture with today's modern architecture.
Our facility, which is adjacent to Can Yücel's house, takes its name from the "Vltava" river in Czechia, where Nazım Hikmet Ran took a lot of inspiration while producing his works during his exile period.
Before being converted, the Ultava Houses buildings existed for 15 years as the home of British politician, actor and writer Lord Michael Maurice Cashman, and actor, singer and non-governmental organization supporter Paul Cottignham. Lord Michael Maurice Cashman also talked extensively about his memories here in his book "One Of Them".
